Chapter 219

• It had been three days since they had seen each other. Three long, agonizing days, that didn't go without a text message here and there. Regina wanted to wait until her bruises were less visible before she saw Sophia again. The last thing she needed was for her to want to kill Leopold over it, and blow their relationship. He hadn't mentioned Daniel anymore, and instead focused on his work. In fact, on the third day, he actually bothered to inform Regina that he would be traveling for work again. Of course that didn't go without a warning.
• A warning that Leopold wouldn't know about, if he wasn't here. Like Sophia said to her once, 'What Chief Irons doesn't know, won't hurt him.' She grins at the memory. Why shouldn't she be happy after Leopold left this morning? She could come and go as she pleased and not to mention, see Sophia whenever she pleased.
• It was Thursday morning, and it was a beautiful day. Regina decided to reach for her phone and surprise Sophia with a call instead of their usual text message.
