Chapter 86
- Nate’s POV
- I booked a room for a night and paid with my card, and while the payment was still being processed, I felt Jacob’s come to press himself against my side in a wzy that was definitely more than platonic, and I panicked instantly. I tried to ignore it but the fear of someone coming in here who might recognize me instantly, would start connecting the dots that I was here with Jacob to probably come spend the night together, and that thought left an unpleasant feeling behind inside of me.
- I was taking a step away from him go to the other side of me that was still empty, putting some space between our sides, and I was glancing around after a fleeting moment to check if people were starting to stare at me, I was realized by the fact that no one seemed to have noticed what had just happened between us, and so I puffed out a deep breath and turned around to put down my signature in where I was supposed to. Once we’ve completed the whole thing, I got handed a set of keys which I accepted hurriedly and started to make my way towards the elevator in the next instant, purposely not calling on Jacob as I walked past him, although I was really sure that he was going to be tagging behind me in an instant.
