Chapter 196
- Nate’s POV
- I forked a small potion of rice into my mouth and chewed slowly, trying to savor every mouthful of the food. I still find it absurd that Jack had offhandedly mentioned that he had wanted to prepare food way more than this, but because there hadn’t been enough ingredients, he had had no other choice than to settle with this. I find it absurd because what I was seeing right before me looked like a whole lot, and I was sure that even though I stuffed myself full– which I was already almost done with, a lot of food was still going to be left over. And the food tasted so good, really greater than I had anticipated.
- I used to think I was a good cook ever since I got into college, but now that I was eating Jack’s food, I wasn’t so sure of that anymore. I cut a part of my drumstick and inserted it into my mouth, feeling the softness of the meat melt into my tongue and coming to the conclusion once again, that Jack had indeed outdone himself.
