Nate’s POV
“So, I wanted to let you know that we didn’t end up going to sign the contracts without you.” He started to speak and I could feel an invincible relieved sigh leaving me in a loud rush or breath, and as I started to do a happy dance in my head, of course I had been speaking out of anger when I had asked him to go ahead and sign the contracts with Eric. I had been. worried and thinking about whether he was going to indeed drop me off and place Eric in my place or not as I headed out of his office and finally out of the company’s compound, and I was honestly glad he had not done as I had requested right before I had stormed out of his office.
I chewed on my bottom lip a little and finally allowed it to slip free from my teeth, and then I started to speak.
