Chapter 92
- A new sob was heard in the room, more heart-wrenching and distressing than the previous one. With indescribable force, he slammed the diamond ring against the wall, losing it somewhere in the office, his desk items disappeared including the laptop that shattered, papers, pencils, briefcases, and a myriad of things scattered on the marble floor. His huge and long legs failed him, wobbled, causing him to fall to his knees, he couldn't resist and sat on the cold surface, hugged his knees and cried more, he wanted to die, to forget everything. How could he ever be the same as before? How could he forget her? How could he treat her? If with just the harsh words he had said to her that same morning, he hurt himself even more. He loved her so much that despite her betrayal, he couldn't harm her, hurt her, or wound her, but he couldn't forgive her either. He was lost and had to muster all his willpower, so that Alessandra D'Santi, never found out how much her betrayal had hurt him, neither she... nor anyone.
- It took several hours for the crying to finally... stop.
- "Dominic Lombardo, right now you are going to explain to me what the hell is going on here," his younger brother's exasperated voice suddenly burst into his office. Vittorio was stunned and motionless as he saw the disaster and chaos spread throughout the room, it seemed as if a hurricane had come in and destroyed everything. Dominic was standing by the window, without his jacket, with his tie undone and looking disheveled, not facing him, but from his appearance and the mess, the gallant blonde deduced that something was wrong with him. "What is all this mess?" he asked, forgetting for a few seconds the real reason he had come there.
