• Alessandra woke up somewhat tired that morning, she had a terrible night due to the cold way Dominic had said goodbye to her the day before, which kept her from sleeping well. She was upset by his attitude, although she couldn't judge him until she knew what problems he really had with that Niccolo guy, who gave her a bad feeling. It was evident that he had provoked him on purpose, all to make Dominic react badly, which he did.
• After showering, she dressed in a very elegant and waist-hugging white jumpsuit, paired with beige high-heeled sandals, a blazer, and a matching handbag. She applied a bit more makeup than usual to hide her dark circles, styled her loose wavy hair, sprayed on some perfume, and without having breakfast, she headed to the offices of Lombardo Enterprises. She would figure out something to eat on the way, as she didn't have much of an appetite.
• Exiting the elevator on the top floor, she ran into Vittorio, who was leaving his office at the same time. They greeted each other with a smile and a kiss on the cheek, as they always did when they saw each other. He invited her into his office to discuss the agenda for the week and other work-related matters. Once the topic was concluded, the handsome blonde handed her the newspaper of the day on the desk. Alessandra looked at it, puzzled.
