Chapter 22
- There was a quarter of an hour left until eight, she hurried out of the room, halfway down the stairs, a staff member informed her that the gentleman was waiting for her in his study. Her heart was beating fast, expecting the worst, would he scold her? Would he reprimand her? Theoretically, she was not late, but with Dominic Lombardo, you never knew, he was unpredictable. She was guided to the study as she did not know the way, once the girl next to her left, she gathered the courage to knock on the door. She heard his voice authorize her to enter and with more fear than anything else, she stepped inside.
- The place was just as luxurious and pretentious as the entire mansion, however, what impressed her the most was seeing him, sitting at one end of the desk, facing her, with his arms crossed against his chest and his legs also crossed, one over the other, as if he had been waiting for her for a while. Wow, he looked handsome, dressed so differently from what she was used to seeing him in, but as imposing and elegant as ever. He was wearing beige dress pants that were a bit tighter than the ones she usually saw him in his immaculate suits, a long-sleeved white dress shirt, and over this, a fitted burgundy sweater, all paired with very fine brown loafers and his expensive gold watch that he never seemed to be without. Her eyes almost popped out seeing him like that, so attractive, his sculpted masculine body stood out even more and his delicious cologne reached her from where she was standing.
- Their eyes met suddenly, he slowly scanned her from head to toe and finally stopped at her face, what a sexy and beautiful woman! everything looked good on her, EVERYTHING, damn, she was so pretty, how could he not be enchanted by her if she was divine? How could he not think of her if she was a beautiful sight for his eyes? What man in his right mind wouldn't like a woman like that? For God's sake, did nothing look bad on her?
