• The beep of the elevator, announcing someone's arrival, put Alessandra on alert. She still held the small note in her hands, which she had read over and over again until she lost count of how many times she had done so. Nervously, she turned on her heels to see who had arrived and felt her legs tremble when she saw the imposing figure of Dominic stepping out of it, along with Vittorio. Their eyes met suddenly, causing a tingling sensation throughout her body.
• Good Lord! That man, so handsome and attractive, had sent her flowers, that man had asked her for a CHANCE. She still believed she was in the middle of a dream.
