• At the loud noise, all eyes turned to Roshene, waiting for the distressing moment when they would see her fall, however, that did not happen; instead, the kidnappers fell to the ground, several agents had burst in through the back of the house without them noticing and had shot all three of them in the leg with projectiles that sent a powerful electric shock through their bodies, leaving them immobilized and unconscious momentarily, enough time for other officers to approach them, disarm them, and arrest them.
• One of the agents untied the hands of the Russian girl, removed the gag from her mouth, and without a second thought, she ran terrified into the protective arms of her father. She cried and cried inconsolably for everything she had lived through and suffered. Maximilien, who was right beside her, felt like he was dying of love and pain seeing her like that; he wished he could be the one to hug her and hold her in his arms, he wished he could tell her how sorry he was for what he had said to her the last time they saw each other, he wished he could tell her that he loved her and that he had her unconditional support, however, he couldn't, he had to keep his distance, at least she was safe and back.
