Chapter 90

  • For the rest of the time and on his flight, Damian watched his phone, reading about the sightings of Cielo, and watching silly TV shows, and war movies. There was a lot of strategy to be learned in history, and not one hundred percent accurate depictions of those events at least made it entertaining to learn about. If he hadn't had his old hideout blown up, he could probably have used Cielo's old strategy books. It wasn't easy getting those without anyone noticing. It took a lot of bribing and stealth. Basically, he paid a servant of the palace heavily for everything she owned, and he'd have a team sneak it off the grounds before he'd move it to his home. Too bad that little servant was now dead. He died in the attack Damian launched to kill Cain.
  • Poor poor Cain. He had fallen in love with his doom, and yet he was still clinging to her. Couldn't he see that everyone who tried to get near her met such a horrible fate? Damian was the one delivering that fate, but it should have been enough to deter him. Especially after everything Damian had put him through. Maybe the third time would be the charm to kill him.
  • Now, Damian had to not only kill Cain, but Randal too, and claim Cielo before she could die by her mate bond being severed. That was a bit of a tall order, but for his prize, it was nothing he couldn't handle. He would have to make Cain's death quick, but not too quick so he had time to kill Randal. Randal would have to be near Cielo and there couldn't be too many people near her that could slow Damian down. Still, this was nothing Sephtis and he couldn't handle. Cielo might be the Queen of the Beasts, but Damian was her King; even if she wouldn't acknowledge it quite yet.
