Chapter 101

After washing her hair, Cielo dried it and created fresh curls with it. She twisted her hair and pinned it over her shoulder, allowing her to keep her hair down, but still show at least one of Cain's marks. Once her hair was finally styled the way she liked, she did her makeup light and natural. She put on a light amount of highlighter because she knew pictures were going to be taken.
When she was content with her makeup, she went and found her gown in the closet. It was tradition to match your beast, so she was wearing a white gown. To commemorate Cain and Mara, she had golden and bronzed leaves stitched into the fabric. Slowly, she stepped into the dress and carefully zipped it up. It had a sweetheart neckline with a laced backless top. The skirt flowed straight down to the ground but looked so delicate and weightless that it moved even in the slightest breeze. After adjusting the detailed sleeves, she put on a pair of gold four-inch stiletto heels.
With Mara still asleep, she checked herself over to see any sign of last night. The only thing she could find was the absence of the scars Danny was so kind to give her the day they met. She doubted anyone would notice. Her muscles were slightly thicker, but, again, she doubted it was noticeable to anyone but her.
