Chapter 64
- A shiver ran through Cielo as the horrific history lesson echoed in her mind. Fitting. "Cedric, I'm warning you. Stay away from me," she said, her voice cracking on the last word, on cue.
- "Don't worry, Princess, I'll be gentle. I'm not allowed to overly harm our future queen," Cedric responded, carefully gripping her shoulder. "Now, come with me."
- "Don't touch me!" she snapped, attempting to slap him with her free hand. He caught her hand with his claw and turned his head to inspect it. Seizing the distraction, she plunged the long shard of glass into his carotid artery. Using all her strength, she slashed it towards his windpipe, spraying herself with his blood. Cedric roared in pain and slammed her against the wall, breaking the glass shard still embedded in his neck. She clawed at his eyes while he tried to staunch the bleeding. Foolishly, he pulled the shard of glass from his neck, and within seconds, he was on the floor, bleeding out.
