• Ruben placed his hand on Cain's shoulder as a possessive growl rumbled through him. "While the doctor works, let's listen to the voicemail Cielo left her brother." Gently, he pulled Cain away from Cielo. The doctor needed to examine her. Since the doctor was a woman, Cain was confident she wouldn't be tempted to mark Cielo. Finding some relief in that thought, he turned and followed Ruben to the living room.
