Chapter 96

• Eleanor closed her eyes and clasped the hands of Jacob and Melinda in each of hers, closing her eyes as they walked. She imagined where they were headed as they traveled. Every one of them arrived at their destination in what appeared to be a blink of an eye, and it actually did not take them that long to get there.
• Their location in a forested region close to the battlefield, where they could hear whimpers and war cries emerging from the neighboring fighting arena, came as a complete surprise to the group. Once they had recovered from the bewilderment caused by the teleportation operation, Eleanor sat them down behind some trees to monitor what was going on in their immediate surroundings. After a while, they stood up and walked around the perimeter of the forest.
• In the middle of the field, they came across a lady in thin metal armour, who was holding a wand in her hand, while their warriors were scattered across the ground, attempting to fight but failing every time because they were sent back to the ground just as they were about to touch her with their bare hands.
