Chapter 22

• Eleanor was frozen on her spot as she looked at the rear of Drake Range who was walking away from her. She had this hidden urge to introduce herself to him; to let him know who she was. However, she stopped herself before she could do so. She was worried that Zachary would get jealous and mad if he learned that she had given her name to another man. She feared that he would think that she was entertaining another man while he was away from her.
• What made Eleanor even more stunned was the fact that Drake had given the initiative to tell her where she could find him if anything happens that she would want to see or meet him. She wanted to speak more to him, but before she could even open her mouth to speak, he had already left. Her heart was beating fast and loud inside her ribs as she was wondering what he meant by providing her with such information. It seemed like he was sure that the day would come when she would look for him. ‘But why?’ she asks herself.
• As their eyes had made contact earlier, she could feel his stare towards her was meaningful. His gaze was deep, it was as if he was reading through her. She could feel that he somehow knew who she was; maybe even better than she knew herself.
