• Drake looked intently at his niece and he could see the mixture of fear of disappointment and desire for family in her eyes. It was obvious that she had been through many hardships; that she was neglected for the care and the love that she deserves.
• “Sure dear, if that is what you wanted to do, I do respect your decision,” he answers with a gentle tone, making her see that he could understand what she meant and what she was feeling. Despite his excitement, he needed to slow down and not suddenly force and shock Eleanor with everything that he was saying towards her. He could not just pull her into their world considering that she was vividly oblivious about her true identity. She had lived her whole life thinking that she was a normal human and there were no supernatural things around her.
• Having her digest too much information at one time would increase the risk that she would be greatly surprised, or worse she would be angered which he feared the most. Eleanor was a hybrid and was destined to be the most powerful being there would be. She would be feared by many, and without knowing who she was and proper training on how to handle the beast inside of her, he feared that she might just explode. He feared that she would be very angered to the point that she would go ballistic and hurt him, herself, or even worse, she could wipe out everyone in that area they were in.
