Eleanor could not say anything since her mind was in such a state of upheaval, yet she could feel her family's pity in their expressions. Her heart was beating so fast and her breathing became fast and shallow as she tried to organize her thought.
She thought yesterday night that she would be ready for this affirmation of news, but now that she was here and had heard the doctor, she suddenly felt nervous. She wondered if she would be able to be a great mother; if she would be able to handle all of the responsibility that she must carry.
"Keep in mind that we are always here to help you. Whatever you decide, you have to always remember that everything changed now. Now you are not only one being, youhave a live thing inside of you who is growing up and who requires a full family to thrive. We were all completely unaware of your reasoning for keeping him imprisoned.
