Chapter 54

Today was different than every previous day. In the middle of their anguish at the loss of their leader, the day for a new day arrived. After something comes to an end, something new will begin, and that new beginning will begin with Eleanor herself.
The coronation ceremony took place today. The day had finally arrived that everyone had been looking forward to and feeling worried about; the day when she would be anointed as the Queen of their realm, and the day when she would assume the position of the most powerful of all Alphas. As her birthday approached and she neared the age of eighteen, it seemed appropriate to do so now.
All vampires and werewolves gathered in the heart of the kingdom, at the throne room, to commemorate the momentous occasion and bestow honour and grace on their new Queen of the den, the new Alpha of the silver blue pack, and all Alphas in the kingdom.
