• "What happened?" Soon after entering the bedroom, Zachary expressed worry by asking the question. Incredibly, it was clear from Eleanor's expression that she had been shocked and that she was terrified.
• He stared at her with suspicion.
• "No... nothing," she stammered as she answered the question. "Are you upset with me? I am sorry," she said in soothing tones as she took a step back and bowed her head. She dreaded that if she looked up, she would see anger in his eyes.
