Chapter 18

• "What are you doing there?" Zachary asked his best friend in surprise as he looked at the halfway corridor where Marcus was standing and looked at him and Elenaor nonchalantly.
• "Well I thought that the food was already ready hence why I had chosen to come. I could no longer wait for your call since you know... I'm hungry," Marcus answered while shrugging his shoulders before a smirk formed on his lips. After a while, he continued with a teasing tone. "But... it did not occur to me that you cannot hold yourself anymore from the alluring beauty of your... baby..." After saying those, he winked at Eleanor who instantly hid her face behind Zachary's shoulder to hide her face that was already starting to get red due to embarrassment. She was still not very much used to showing affection to other people.
• Zachary looked at his mate and subtly laughed at her cute reaction. His mate is indeed adorable, if only his friend didn't show up, he could have immediately gobbled her up for later.
