Chapter 8
- On the couch in Zachry’s living room, Marcus was sitting on the couch, well, comfortably as if he owned the place. He had his back leaning on the backrest with both his arms wide open and lazily draped on the back pillows while his right ankle was leaning on his left knee.
- He looked out one of his now-opened window panels. The curtain was moving in response to the cold night wind that was blowing inside his house. Indeed, Marcus was using his vampire tactics again and was entering illegally.
- "Why do you look as if you are shocked to see me here? It is no longer new to you that I am always spending time here at your place. This is not my first time, and I hope you will not tell me that this should be the last," Marcus said half-jokingly before he sat up properly on the couch.
