Chapter 37
- The cold metallic blade slid from her face, neck, and down to her collarbone. It was freezing cold and as she saw the sinister gaze of the man who was in front of her, Eleanor could not help but feel frozen in her place. Her breathing was fast and shallow with her heart beating extremely fast. She was staying as still as possible in her place, as she feared that if she moved even just a centimeter, the blade would slit through her skin. She kept her eyes closed as she waited for the man to pierce the knife onto her skin. She wanted it to end fast so she would not be facing too much suffering.
- She was waiting, and waiting, until she heard the loud slumming of the door which sounded like it was forcefully kicked open. Instantly, she opened her eyes and looked at what the commotion was all about. Suddenly, there was this surgement of hope on her that there might be a possibility that someone had come to save her. Zachary, Marcus, Drake, or anyone. She no longer cared who it was, but she was hoping that there would be anyone who would be there to come to her aid. Her life was hopeless, but she was not just about to give up yet. If there could be any possibility of her being saved from this event, she would be very much thankful.
- However, as she looked at the door, she was filled with dismay seeing someone whom she had recognized. THe newly arrived man was the other one whom she had seen in the convenience store. Obviously, the two of them were working together. Nonetheless, she was a bit thankful for the man’s interruption as she felt relieved after the dagger was retracted away from her skin.
