Chapter 66

  • Even though Zachary was fully aware of Eleanor's presence, he chose to remain silent in order to preserve the idea that he was ignoring her. When he recognized what was going on in Eleanor's mind, his heart grieved for a long time. He could feel that she was in pain and that she was extremely angry at him.
  • He could hear and feel as well that she was extremely confused about something and that she wanted him to feel the pain that she was feeling.
  • Despite the fact that he found it difficult to respond to her question and continue his drama, he knew that doing so was vital if he wanted to become closer to her. By acting in that way he knew that his mate had a kind heart that would slowly make her speak to him and listen to his words; at least by then he would have more chance for them to come up with an understanding.
