• I cling to the blankets completely intimidated to see Christian sitting on one of the armchairs with his shirt sleeves rolled up, his gray eyes looked almost dark and were fixed on me, like a lion, a very angry one. I look at Allie who only approaches me with a glass of juice and a pill, as I took them I tried to remember what had happened but my head could only generate confusing and blurry memories. It wasn't until now that I noticed he wasn't in Los Angeles but much closer as he had gone to Washington and I had completely forgotten.
• The first doubt that assaulted me was how he knew where we were, instantly I imagined satellite tracking or someone watching, I ruled out the first option because I didn't have my phone with me.
• "I don't understand what you're doing here," he speaks with a controlled voice to not show more of his anger. "I thought when you said you would leave, it would be somewhere within Los Angeles."
