Chapter 29

• Without even knowing when it happened, we both fell asleep on the bow of the boat, so when we woke up in the morning feeling the sun warming our skin, we decided to head back. Jason took us back to the dock. Almost instantly upon our arrival, I noticed a truck that I would recognize anywhere and the man leaning against it waiting for us.
• My brother tied up the boat and helped me down. Once we were on solid ground, I realized what time it was and that Ethan had probably come to take me to work.
• "Miss Pryest," the boy greeted, opening the passenger door. "Your clothes are inside in a bag."
