• We didn't even move from where we were sitting, holding hands, and even a few cars passed by us but they continued without bothering the two boys leaning on a truck parked on the side of the road.
• "What are you thinking?"
• "I think we're stranded in the middle of the road doing nothing," I murmured without looking at him. "And I think Christian sent Ethan after us, but what surprises me is that he hasn't arrived where we are yet."
