- I grumble again, clearly annoyed, moving all my things from the bathroom vanity, opening drawers and complaining out loud every time I couldn't find a pendant that my mother gave me a few years ago.
- "Are you sure you packed it?" Jay shouts from the kitchen. "Maybe it stayed in New York."
- "No! I'm sure I put it away."
