Chapter 13

• After a month working at the Bornout Enterprises building, Mike was happy with how I had adapted to the new environment, and Annie was happy to have me organizing her wedding, which was a bit difficult since there was still no set date, although she had the base idea that it would take at least a year to organize this wedding, which would take longer than usual.
• "This place is amazing," I hear her say, pulling me out of my thoughts and making me turn to look at her.
• We were at a place called Smog Shoppe, a spacious venue with a terrace that offered a fabulous view of the city. The walls were covered with plants that gave it an exotic touch. Jordan, a guy who was now part of my small team for this wedding, had recommended this place to me. I held onto the folder, hoping she would choose this place, as we had spent most of the morning and afternoon exploring almost every corner of Los Angeles looking for reception venues.
