Chapter 21

• After boarding Christian's private plane at Los Angeles International Airport, we had a flight of almost 11 hours during which we mostly just talked about anything or I was arranging the travel itinerary until we landed at Narita International Airport in Japan. I'm not sure if Christian had declined the van or something because we ended up walking through the airport, although he had to hold my hand because my anxiety in such a large place was taking effect. At the exit, there was a pretty impressive black Mercedes car.
• "Close your mouth or you'll drool," Christian teased me near my ear.
• I playfully pushed him to get into the passenger seat when Christian opened the door. I watched him walk around the car and get in to start the engine, which vibrated when he turned it on. We drove through the busy streets of Japan.
