Chapter 33
- I decided to let it go because I was happy that she had found someone who was really helping her with almost everything. That's when I took out a gift bag and handed it to her. She took her time opening it because she liked to build up expectations that she wanted to see fulfilled, and I always did something that exceeded them. Her first gift was a kimono in red, white, and gold tones that she loved completely, even trying it on marveling at the fabric and the roses it had. It was a gift that Christian had chosen for her, and he was spot on.
- "Do you have photos from Japan?" she asked after opening her other three gifts.
- "Here," I handed her the phone with the gallery open as she took her time looking at each photo while I provided more details, like the weather, the people, the temples, and so on.
