  • In the following days, I felt like I was in Christian's crosshairs, who was now more reserved and distant. He started sending me to do various tasks that seemed pointless, like searching for papers and getting them signed, even though that was the intern's job. He even sent me to get coffee, so when I returned to my shift on the 23rd floor, I didn't stop because I had to check every little detail of the organization. When I got home, I fell asleep instantly, especially with my brother constantly packing for his trip and my anxiety playing tricks on me.
