• Scarlett was not sure if she had made the right decision about talking to Alex, but she had been so desperate for a helping hand that she had no other option.
• She had forgotten to put back the files after she had allowed Alex a duplicate of them. It was when he asked that she went ahead to replace what she had taken. She was only relieved that he was not suspicious of her.
