• "I don't think you are in the right condition for this trip," Lucas said to Scarlett as she arranged some clothes in a suitcase. She let go of the piece of clothing she had in her hand and moved towards him.
• "I'm just six months pregnant, and I am doing fine," she said to him reassuringly. Even though she had told him multiple times about the food tour with George and other members of her class at the culinary school, he had insisted that he did not want her going on the trip.
• "It's just two weeks and I will be back before you know it," she said to him and resumed packing her clothes. He made a sad face and it only made her laugh.
