• Scarlett had to resist all the contemplations that prevented her from moving out of Alex's house. He had made her numerous offers just to ensure that she stayed, but she would not hear of it.
• After so much futility, Alex decided that it was time to let go. He helped her call the movers who took her things to her new place. He was only glad that the newly renovated house was just a stone's throw from his. He owned the whole estate and the houses in them.
