Chapter 51

• "Where's the chef?" Lucas asked as he made his way to the stage. The announcer moved to where he was and whispered in his ear that she had suddenly taken off after a phone call.
• "How long?" He asked. "About five minutes ago," the announcer whispered again. Lucas handed him the microphone immediately and dashed outside to everyone's amazement.
• A guard followed him immediately. Lucas looked around frantically through the hallway that led to the exit, and he saw a glimpse of a lady in a chef's attire just before she disappeared into the corner. Lucas followed after her, and soon, he was outside.
