Chapter 70

• “Dad, why are you here?”
• Dante asked to distract his father from the boys, he didn’t like the look in his father’s eyes. However, before his father would answer, he noticed Ben standing beside him so he had no choice but to introduce them. Others walked over to be introduced. It was not everyday that King Henchman was seen walking among humans so it was no wonder that almost all off them wanted to be introduced to him. Dante felt a bit slighted. When he arrived in town, none of them went out of his or her way to be introduced to him. He was the one who went out of his way to get to know them while they acted as if they didn’t want to know him. But now, all of them were queuing up to be introduced to his father.
• Dante didn’t know it but the reason why the people of Waterside though welcoming, didn’t go out of their way to meet him, was because he was about to steal one of their own. Despite what Kenny promised, they were not happy that she was marrying a stranger instead of one of their own as everyone had expected. Now, the reason they were going out of their way to get to know King Henchman wasn’t because of his wealth as Dante thought, no, it was because he was Dante’s father, a man who had proven to them that he was worth knowing.
