• “He’s waiting for me.”
• After the bus disappeared from view, Ugo had no choice but to turn and face Dante who had been waiting patiently for her. His friend has left but he waited for her to finish with her son. Why seek her out again? Hasn’t he caused enough trouble already? He had done what she wanted, end the engagement yet she was angry with him. He had ended the engagement with no concern for her friend, as if Kenny was nothing to him. He was probably toying with her from the beginning, with no intention of going through with the wedding. Maybe he gets some happiness seeing helpless women suffer.
• Ugo was sure that he would never treat any of the famous people in Ultra city the way he’d treated she and her friend without consequence. Their family would not have accepted it. Dante Henchman might be powerful, but there were other powerful families in Ultra City too. Some say the Henchman were the most powerful but as far as Ugo was concerned, they are despicable people. She didn’t want to speak or see any of them. She wished he’d gone already as he should have. Why was he waiting for her?
