Chapter 36

• “I was deceived.”
• Dante thought as his mind drifted back to when he met Kenny. He met her at a friend’s party in Planet One. She came alongside two ladies who he later found out were her cousins. The ladies were younger and spiteful, maybe because Kenny was more beautiful than them. She wasn't dressed gorgeously like every other woman in that party. She was wearing a simple cream color satin gown of cheap quality, a low heel sandal with not much makeup but somehow, she outshined her cousins who were dressed classier, reason why they were resentful and planned on humiliating her.
• Naturally Dante wouldn’t have noticed her, but he heard a disturbing snickering and laughter from the women surrounding him and sought the source for their amusement. Obviously her cousins had brought her to the party and abandoned her to herself, hoping she will make a fool of herself, so they and their friends can laugh at the expense of their village cousin who knew nothing.
