Chapter 12

• “My body hurts,”
• Dante thought as he fought to pride his eyes open. The first thing he noticed when he finally succeeded was two men peering at him. The one in white probing him here and there, alerting immediately that he must be a doctor. At that, he looked around and it dawned on him that he was in a hospital. He searched his brain as to how he came to be there but came up blank. The piercing pain in his head warned him to stop trying.
• “You’re awake.”
