Chapter 38

• “I have to get out of this town.”
• It was all Dante was thinking about as came down from his car and walked to the entrance to the diner. With a deep breath, he took control of his emotions, pushed the door of the diner open and walked in. A ding dong sound announced his entrance and immediately, complete silence engulfed the diner that you could hear a pin drop. There was chattering before he walked in so he knew he was the reason for the silence.
• The people had welcomed him with open arms when he arrived yesterday. Children had surrounded his car, admiring it. He even allowed the brave ones to climb in and out, some took pictures. And since yesterday, people had accosted him, congratulated him for his engagement with Kenny. The bolder one directly asked what his plans for their town was. Some came to B&B yesterday just to meet him and his best friend so he didn’t think the silence was because they took exception to sharing the diner with him.
