- He stretched out his hand, ready to knock again, willing to hammer on the damned door throughout the entire night if that's what it took. Kathryn barely had the chance to voice her question before he barged into her apartment, slamming the door shut with a forceful click, and made a beeline for her. She retreated hastily, and he pursued her, following her across the confines of her small living room. His face was a picture of a brewing storm, flickering with a myriad of emotions that she couldn't decipher, apart from visible anger and a darkness that she'd only ever caught fleeting glimpses of in his most vulnerable moments.
