• When Daniel and Zack had single-handedly destroyed most of the Italian mafia ten years ago, he hadn't concerned himself with the chaos he'd left behind, or the fact that one day that same mafia would grow in number once more. He'd wanted retribution and he'd gotten it.
• It had taken less than a year for the Italians to begin rebuilding, but during that time Daniel was establishing his own reign over Chicago, and hadn't seen them as an issue any longer. He'd already killed those men who had purchased Sahara, who had used her, defiled her and then beaten her to death after months of breaking her soul apart. He'd made it clear as to why he'd come for the Italians, and that if he ever got wind of them dealing in sex trafficking again, he'd come back.
