• Kathryn's mouth dropped open in shock. "Rain told you what was going on?" That wasn't like him at all. He would tell the club, of course, but Dave was just an employee and a club bunny in his downtime. Why would he confide any kind of club business to him?
• Dave rolled his eyes again. "Please. He wouldn't tell me anything, but the only times I've ever seen him in a bad mood have been because something happened to you. I assume the sexy, rich criminal was an issue?"
• Kathryn narrowed her eyes. "Maybe," she bit out reluctantly. And that was all she planned on telling Dave about her situation.
