• If he hadn't been contemplating murdering Zack while the man had been licking his lips to clean up the remnants of Kathryn's arousal, Daniel probably would have realized what she had planned and stopped her before she had even made it this far.
• "I just wanted to visit with them," Kathryn said softly when Daniel pulled her into his side, his hand resting threateningly on the back of her neck.
• He didn't look at her, or even bother to dignify her with a response. He was too focused on the three men in front of him, all watching him with unmasked hatred.
