Chapter 32

• "So Kathryn's trying to go party with the Guardians?" Zack asked as they stepped off the porch, picking up their conversation from earlier when they'd driven to Mr. Moore's house.
• Daniel ignored the question, regretting that he'd revealed anything to Zack when his best friend had asked why he was in such a foul mood. Taking off his bloody gloves, he handed them to Steve to dispose of.
• "Was the dramatic display necessary with the woman?" Steve asked once they all got into the SUV. He pressed a button and the engine came alive.
