Chapter 33

• To her surprise, Daniel was nowhere to be found when Kathryn woke up the next day. She tried to hide her disappointment, but after last night and the night before... well, after everything, Kathryn was starting to hate beginning her day without at least seeing him briefly.
• Even if all he could offer her was a cold, icy stare with his deep blue eyes, it would be better than nothing.
• God, how pitiful. She should honestly be celebrating, the devil was out doing devilish things and leaving her alone. What more could she want?
