• Kathryn didn't respond, instead turning and rushing to the kitchen, making a beeline for the machine she had discovered the day before. She knew she would need all the energy she could get if she was to handle Zack.
• Thankfully, Daniel had a top-of-the-line espresso machine. It even had a station for frothing milk once she was done making a latte, and she hummed in gratitude as it whirred to life.
• "Are you not pleased to see me, Kathryn? I thought after last night you'd be keen on some alone time with me," Zack said.
