• "Something got under your skin?" Zack queried, an eyebrow raised as he scrutinized Daniel. They were nestled in a secluded room of a restaurant Daniel owned, indulging in a tranquil lunch. That was, until Zack decided to meddle where his viewpoint wasn't sought.
• Having known his comrade for two decades, he could discern Zack was inquiring solely to glean information about Kathryn, whom Daniel had ensured was kept at a distance from the man.
