• Rachel placed a comforting hand on Lucy’s shoulder. “ One step at a time, okay? Don’t overwhelm yourself. Maybe he’s changed, maybe he’s not the same Jason from a year ago. People grow, people change. ”
• Lucy nodded, though her mind was still swirling with uncertainty. She wished she could believe that, but she wasn’t sure what to expect from Jason. Would he be angry? Would he feel betrayed? Or would he… maybe, just maybe… want to be a part of their lives?
