• As they pulled away, Adrian’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He glanced at it briefly and sighed. “ I should probably get going. Work stuff. ”
• Lucy nodded, understanding. “ Thank you for coming. It means a lot. ”
• Adrian smiled, giving Dylan one last gentle touch on the head. “ I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. ” He looked at Lucy, his expression softening. “ Take care of yourself, okay? And if you need anything, just call me. ”
